So, as we know, this is pretty much a lottery now, plus were seeing literally hundreds of backorders per name instead of just a few that we saw with the DAC, so odds are very high, even for not so popular domains.

Timing, as they say, is of the essence, but reports from software users are advising catches over an extreme range, right upto 1485ms (yep milliseconds) before a reported drop time. Nominet on the other hand are still advising that there is no increased latency due to loading with the vast number of creates at the same tiem.

We are getting reports of good catches, but frustration at no specific point in time to send, hence the flooding of creates, so with version 9.1.0 weve added 7 result parameters to assist you in determining when to send your creates, plus an additional version that is not time dependant.

agreed, but the edge may not be in accordance with the AUP... just check todays catches and its easy to spot..

The catches of course are the business of our program users and those that backorder through us online, we dont catch ourselves really, but sometimes goodies pop up and we have caught them such as germanshepherds.co.uk, sliverlabradoor.co.uk etc, britishpotatoes.co.uk. all sold well on domainlore
