I have written an issue group brief on "Expired Domain Tasting": http://www.andrewbennett.co.uk/edt-issue-group.pdf N.B. this paper is still in draft form and may change. Now i'm looking for people to join the issue group....If you are interested please let me know. I'm also trying to find examples of registrants who have had problems with this issue e.g. UK Individual (whois opt-out) who has had their expired name parked/tasted by the registrar within the 30 day grace period. I have to say though i'm not a big fan of this DIY stakeholder approach.... Why should the burden be on the 'issue champion' to: 1. Write the issue group briefing paper? 2. Recruit the issue group members? See: http://www.nic.uk/policy/issuegroups/ Under the old .uk policy process you would have dedicated PAB members who would take the issue (simple email from the stakeholder) and would then have the experience and knowledge to write the paper and discuss it themselves? The old PAB also had the credibility and authority to invite different stakeholders who would be highly likely to attend the meeting. When your trying to do this yourself how are you going to get DRS experts etc to join in your issue group?
