    Hi,

I am setting up a freelance website, where users can post their details and employers their projects. Looking for a suitable domain name - anyone have anything suitable they'd like to sell?

If so, please let me know along with costs.

    Thanks,

    Dean

No idea what your budget is but I have these:

    Individual domains:
    ifreelance.co.uk
    efreelance.co.uk
    webfreelance.co.uk

    Set 1 (won't split):
    ukfreelancers.co.uk
    ukfreelancers.com
    ukfreelancers.net
    ukfreelancers.org
    uk-freelancers.co.uk
    uk-freelancers.com

    Set 2 (won't split):
    ukfreelancer.co.uk
    ukfreelancer.com

If any are of interest let me know and will send you prices. None of them will be cheap though :)

    Cheers, Grant

Funny enough I am about to engulf myself in a similar Project. Already have a domain and even a pilot website. Site was completely redesigned from social networking to freelancers and retains it’s pagerank (PR3).

Have a look at programmers (dot) org (dot) uk and drop me a PM if whant to discuss this option.

I don't want to sell this as it's still available:

    freelancer4u /co/uk

    Does everything you want!

Donation to Acorn if you register it please.

    cheers, Luke

edit: freelance4u /co/uk has gone (2005) but freelancers4u /co/uk is still available too.

edit: kinda catchy, ain't it? freelancers4u ... reminds me of that great tv advert for 'phones 4 u' with all the handwaving! :)

... or maybe programmer.org.uk if that's your line or work (and you can't afford the .co.uk!)

Thanks for all the offers guys. Some are very appealing, and on my list :)

I am looking for something a bit more rounded than things with webdesign, programmers, etc in the domain as this will limit the audience to designers/programmers... where as I'd like to cover the board - ie. photographers, copywriters, etc.

Likewise, as much as I would like a domain which said exactly what it does (ie. freelance in the title), a catchy memorable/brandable word would be very welcome

Wow, freelancedesigners.co.uk is nice... still think this cuts out other sectors of freelancing (ie. photographers, etc).

However, am wondering if I could build an umbrella site for freelancers...and then sub this out to smaller, specific sub sites. ie. designers.

jhump - can you pm the cost for freelancedesigners.co.uk please?

Anyone else have any other domains?

    FreelancePlanet.co.uk

    ....or PlanetFreelance.co.uk

I prefer the first one, but if you take one you can have the other free.

Well, I'm about to close freelancerecruiter.co.uk - this was once the name of a freelance magazine for the recruitment industry.

It's PR3 as a static site and it suits a multitude of freelance sectors.

Give me a shout if interested and you have at least £1500 to spend.
