Hi all,

I'm after a bit of advice. Is there a way to search google (possibly using an extension) when you click on a google search result, the relevant part of the page your taken to is highlighted?

thanks Mally

You can download Tapermonkey extension for chrome, then go to https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/7251-enhanced-word-highlight and install this.

Make sure when searching in google that you use quotation marks other wise every word searched will be highlighted and can get a bit busy.

Excellent suggestion, thanks very much, very handy.

You wouldn't by any chance know of something similar where I can view a webpage, highlight a few words, right click and it automatically searches a named pdf. If so that would be the icing on the cake :)

Not seen one but will take a look.

If its to get around no copy and paste on certain websites you can always load the copy and paste extension, wont do what you want but a couple of clicks extra your there etc
