    Hello,

    New user here!

I'm a freelance web developer and have been involved with the internet business for about seven years. I bought a lot of domain names in the years 1999-2000 when there was still something of a gold rush going on. I've hung onto most of them, picked up a few new ones along the way, and sold a couple too.

My best domain name was texasholdem.co.uk which I sold for £5k. I bought a few shockingly bad ones too in the early days but let most of them drop a few years ago so can't think of any right now.

I currently own about 600 domains, almost all .co.uk. Most of them are around the subject of languages or arts/literature, two topics I'm interested in. Some of my domains include:

    pokerchips.co.uk
    britishfilm.co.uk
    worldcinema.co.uk
    gilbertandsullivan.co.uk
    historyofart.co.uk
    skiinstructor.co.uk
    speakenglish.co.uk, speakfrench.co.uk, etc.

You can see some of my others at:
    Other projects

As well as working on clients' websites, I enjoy developing websites for myself. I'm currently working on some online language phrase guides:

    Speak Languages!

I also maintain a site based around classic English poetry:
EnglishVerse.com - classic English poetry and poets

    Happy domaining everybody!

    Chris

    Hi Chris,

    Welcome.

historyofart.co.uk - is this an irish domain? :-D

I'm impressed with the speaklanguages sites - I'll have to explore further when I get a chance.

    Enjoy the Forum.
