    Following on from: http://www.acorndomains.co.uk/general-board/109472-high-street-online-retailing.html

Interesting christmas results for argos and their click-and-collect.

Has some long-term benefits for affiliates in promoting high-street merchants who push this delivery style.

As an aside WHY are threads being closed in the 'general board' section so soon after being posted especially if the discussion is a long-term topical one. Has happenned a few times I wanted to update a news thread I started only to see it closed. Patience!

I think argos has had its last set of good results.

From now on the only way is down.

Its core customers are leaving it quicker than they could ever acquire new ones, service attricious, bogus offers and a so called saviour of click and collect, a part of their business thats been about for years and getting worse.

The balance sheet may be manipulated by closing a few stores and cutting costs but sooner than later when the big investors have moved their money out stores will fall like dominos.
