I need a tool that will list unregistered domains.

What I mean is say I want to buy a domain name like XXXXUUUUYYYY.COM

Instead of checking them as I think of them - can I just type in UUUU into the tool and it will list domain names that are available that contain the word UUUU?

    Does something like this exist?

    Thanks!

Far too many combinations to even consider a tool like that if I'm reading your post right.

If a domain can be 63 characters long and each place can hold a letter/number/hyphen it means you have 37 options for each place to the power of 63. So for a 2 character domain you would have 37*37=1369 choices, for 3 characters 37*37*37=50,653 choices etc. So using your example which has 4 fixed characters 'UUUU' which can appear anywhere in the domain there would be 37^59 choices which is approx 3, with 92 zeros after it, choices. If you could look up 432,000 per second (a whole day's quota per second) it would take longer than the life of the universe currently to look them all up.

Dotmixer.com is pretty cool - I've been know to spend a few hours tapping the refresh button seeing what comes up :)

You can put in a word as a prefix/suffix and it will throw in another dictionary word and check availability.
