Just had my first offer for one of my domains via Namedrive.
Not a bad offer too!
had one this morning, and sold the domain within an hour... fast mover!
Parked Pages Sell Domains
As most of you may or may not know, I started in this business as a domain broker. Back when you could still get top generic dot com's for a song.
Anyway, here is one hint that everyone should be aware of:
The parked domain page generally sells your domain for you, not any kind of aftermarket.
Almost all leads come from the parked page itself.
The user either types the domain directly into the browser or drops it into the whois, and the first thing they do is get angry that it is already regged, then they curiously put in an offer if they kind of want it, or put a true offer on the first go around.
This is a big reason why we moved away from aftermarket model and decided to give users the ability to negotiate their own sales.
We do however look to broker complicated deals where the domain owner may want or need some consultation. This is generally when groups of domains are aggregated or if it is a high value name. Sometimes the hardest evaluations are the generic dot coms. What is healthcare.com really worth? or Name.com (not that we brokered either of these!)
Sorry, don't mean to bore anyone just passing on some things we have learned over the years.
Separate names with a comma.
