I've always been very dubious about masking affiliate links from the search engines - I've always considered very black (or worst case grey hat) SEO...

...but I understand it's quite common practise, so I'm considering adding for the first time.

Does anyone know of a good link, tutorial or script that they've used that may do the job?

    Thanks in advance

You could use something like this:
    1: http://codecanyon.net/item/redirect-system/109295
    2: http://codecanyon.net/item/htaccess-builder/128943

You can enter any url you like to show for your users, and then add the affiliate link as the destination url.

Creating a pretty url like this: http://www.domain.com/products/product-name
And then have it redirect to your affiliate link if someone clicks or use that url.

And in robots text you can disallow /products
You can also add nofollow attribute to the link.
