    So now the drop field seems level again is there a way to tell how close you were? If you go for a 3 letter for example and numerous others also undoubtedly did and you no doubt miss out, Is there a way to see how competetive your script is?

    No way I'm afraid.

    It's quite annoying as you could be 2nd, you could be 10th - it's a case of "better luck next time".

    Think back though - remember when WHOIS was updated every 5 minutes and the DAC didn't return TAGs for registered domains? In those days, when you missed a drop, you had to wait up to 5 minutes before you knew who to curse for getting there before you :)

    Best I can get is telling in between which requests the domain was released, so to x ms.
