Nice name, hang onto that one.
Do they call them cabs or taxis?
In the US, I think that they use both.
use both in usa
New York - I'd say 'cab' was a better bet. 'Yellow Medallion' and 'Checker' cabs e.g. Nice domain.
I read on another forum this guy claims to have turned down a $50,000 offer for this domain.
Really thats the same cabs.com sold ? I know which has more commercial appeal atm also as the market tends to be going down the apps route hailo uber guess if one of the giant NY firms liked it but do they need it? Although with medallions going million or more a pop stranger things have happened ? Can't see a domainer ever paying that much be interesting how market for the new TLDs pans out though good luck with it I'd have taken the 50k ? Interesting the price variation on flippa
While i do think this domain has value i'm extremly sceptical of the supposed $50k offer. For me the big thing is this, there will be a few big sales in the new gTLDs but these are few and far between, you will get a few decent sales in most extentions if it's a keyword such as casino, love, money etc..
The majority of the cream of each extention wil have been reserved by the registars and sent to auction no doubt. Call me a cynic but i do think some folk on various forums are affiliated with new registrars of the gTLDs.
There is a big push in new york at the moment, where cabs are giving free rides because of the launch of .nyc, I didn't see cabs.nyc listed, which you would have expected.
I'm a little behind on my reading (due to illness), maybe someone else has more on this.
