In the mood to stand up for a cause and with all this strike talk I regd these two:

    peacefulprotest/co/uk Peaceful Protest

    and

nooffence/co/uk No Offence Apparently one can criticise as long as one prefixes it with "no Offence but"

These will probably end up on my s**t pile because I have enough projects on the go but I am open to ideas, if you were going to develop them what would your ideas be?

    Thanks

    Aiden

Peaceful protest, give it to a protest group for their site and make it for them but put your aff bans on there and they will promote it for you theirselves through probably 100s of FB accounts and Twitter, they get a free site with a decent domain and you get the revenue.

No offence, maybe a site about daft things people have done eg, epic fail videos.

    Thanks doodlebug

PP - I quite like that idea, maybe many protest groups could have a page under the banner PP? Then promote like you suggest, not sure what the aff links would be though?

No Offence - Another good idea there does seem to be a lot of interest in other peoples misfortune or silliness.

    Good ideas

    Thank You

Completely in the development category I'd think - nice names to throw up a site that is useful and gets some traffic since they have a few interesting uses. As is, I can't see anyone buying them...

(p.s. over here in the states peaecful protests and a corporate extension do not go together well these days, so to me the extension on that one seems almost ironic)

    Thanks jacal1

I think they will be going down the development route.

    Thanks

    No offence but why not?

I like the idea of having a blog where I can rant about the minor frustrations and daily irritants in life, not for the money but it would be cathartic.

Peaceful protest has some mileage in it (IMHO) as was pointed out above, again maybe not for the monetary value put for a platform were peaceful protesters can showcase their cause, collectively the site could do better than individual campaigns. The internet has proven it's worth from a campaign point of view and I prefer peaceful protests over direct action.

To my mind there are different aspects to this business, some to make money with, some to learn your trade and some just because you can ;)

    Thanks

    Aiden

:) I know I must start choosing my words more carefully, I have this nasty habit of off the cuff comments which come back and haunt me ;)

    Thanks for pointing it out
