What a farce.
I think they need to employ AD'ers as their QA department
Although every database is different and restructing can be a difficult process (I've done quite a few in my time), it's not rocket science and certainly should never take more than a week to do, especially with a mission critical system such as the UK registry.
My advice to Nominet is to employ more knowledge engineers in future, and if it has been contracted out to a firm then I would definitely not use them again and maybe even seek some sort of reimbursement.
Its all about planning. Their plan has failed (It would seem).
