So it looks like this too has taken the Reading route. One to watch to see when one of them concedes.

Talking to yourself is a sure sign of madness! :p What's Reading (your capitalisation) got to do with anything here? Are you still mad {at her} because you feel she f***ed you over business.co.uk. One tip; don't be afraid of using "me" instead of "myself" when you write. The former is actually often the correct way to do it but many people are afraid of using "me" because it's short and therefore considered "bad". Learn more here.

Did you say something meaningful fella? It's becoming a very predictable (or indeed baitable) habit of yours to act like some sort of policeman at Acorn. It seems to me you are always preaching to others as to how they post, or announcing to everyone what the 'real' reasons are for them to be posting. You also like to lay out how posters should furnish you with additional bits of info to allow you to please us all with you considered opinions.
For the record, seeing as a fellow member has highlighted "...a long drawn out case between nominet and emily yet to come to conclusion...", I'm interested to know how this turns out in much the same way as I was with Jay Daley's case, which of course was handled at Reading. It doesn't take much to realise that will be the same office to see a decision (or not) eminate from. So when it does finalise, I presume it'll be of no interest to you then?

I've only just noticed that you edited your post away from what you originally posted. Unfortunately the forum doesn't send a second email alert. I've only just looked back to this thread and happened to notice that you made the edit ~6 hours after your previous version. :)

Sometimes I disagree with the content, manner or reasoning within a post made by someone else.

No, not always. Sometimes I say what I think about the way some members post; perhaps when I believe they're not being honest, are posting in a manner which I consider inappropriate or have an agenda for example.

I think you're possibly referring to a comment I made, sprinkled with a little bit of humor, towards someone else in relation to a a name he obviously did care about that will go to auction over the summer? I found it very difficult to believe, knowing him, he wouldn't secretly be more bothered than he was letting on given he didn't expect to acquire it. :)

That isn't just for my benefit, but the benefit of anyone else that wishes to make a considered response in the respective thread. Again I think I know of the topic you are probably referring to. If I am right, the original poster didn't post anything to example what he was claiming. Without evidence about his claims, commenting would have been speculative and misdirected.

I think it would have helped you if you'd explained the reference to Reading because I certainly didn't get it. When you write on a forum you have to bear in mind that not everyone will be as up to speed as you on such things, so in some cases providing explanations will help. :)

There probably isn't much, if anything, that I write on this forum that I wouldn't pretty much say to the respective persons face if given the appropriate and relevant opportunity. I do happen to believe that you are disgruntled with Nominet and do take almost every opportunity to knock the company on here, sometimes under the guise of having an interest in a particular issue. You don't appear to take a balanced or neutral approach to many issues, but prefer to take the side against Nominet on most occasions.

The reason I posted in the way I did, previously, is because I wanted to see if my belief was accurate. Unfortunately for you, you bit [given what you initially posted in reply] and therefore my opinion has been cemented. I suspect Emily, as former head of Nominet Legal, probably had involvement in your dispute over the domain name in your signature.

I don't dislike you or think you're "bad/nasty". I just think your opinions of "many things Nominet" have been clouded by your experiences of many years ago and I'll challenge your opinions because I want you, and others, to at least consider that possibility when reading your "Fox News" reporting. :)

Finally, I'm looking forward to the day when there's a proper thread which airs everything that occured in relation to that domain name you didn't manage to acquire and you get to state your piece. The intellectuals on here can break it down and discuss it. How about that?

    Just sometimes?

Well I'm always honest, so you must mean one of the other two then!

You're belief is in fact conjecture, and seriously misplaced too.

    Meaning what exactly?

You don't know what my experiences were, yet, so you're challenges are also misplaced!

I’ll tell you what, I'll stick to building the site, will that do for you, given your keen interest in the matter?

So basically you believe I have a single agenda for every post I make regarding Nominet. That probably explains a lot about your reasoning, which is flawed, seeing as every time I post regarding something to do with them, you fall on the same crutch which is the link in my signature. You've really no need to jump to their defence all the time, they're well aware of that link in the signature as they visit it regularly (every month this year alone based on the stats). If they were bothered about it after 4 years, I'm sure they'd have been in touch, but they've never bothered, so let's break that link you seem determined to maintain, else it may well backfire on you. On that basis, pick any of my posts and explain why they are not legitimate observations or comments.

As for what happened with that domain, just keep visiting the site, I can only post to it when I have the time, which isn't often these days unfortunately, but I'll do my best to scratch your itch!
