I know I have posted a similar question before, but I cant seem to get my head around it.

Today for instance there has been a drop of a page rank 5 domain, it has eighty odd google backlinks, is this genuinely worthless?

domain is vedior.co.uk not a name you would register on name I agree.

tjd .org.uk was also a PR5, dropped today, although i'm struggling to see why it had such a high PR, wayback suggests some clan/group about 6 years ago.

It depends on whether it is likely to keep its backlinks and if there are any decent ones. For example, the itpoint one which was posted has links from the BBC on archived pages which they say they are keeping for reference - making it pretty valuable.

If the PR5 site is part of a network of sites that have been dropped, chances are it won't stay a 5 for the next update. Having said that, if you're selling links from it you could make a decent amount before then.

Must have been of use to someone, as they're both gone now to the same person.

Gravitons.co.uk dropped yesterday, it was a PR6 if anyone's interested in re-regging it.
