How do I check my pagerank? Can anyone provide a link?

Ive always been confused by this, I am in the top two results on Google and number 1 on both Yahoo and MSN for a two word search term that desribes my site to a T, however my pagerank is zero. How can that be?

Anyone want to give me a crash course? :D

Pagerank relates to the number and quality of sites that link to your site..I think...

    http://www.prchecker.net/check.php

There is one, there are alot better tools though, when i find one i'll post back here.

In general you could get a PR4 with just one link from a PR5 site...

Oh and the page rank you 'see' using these tools or Google Toolbar is atleast 3 months out of date. It also means very little in terms of your rankings on the search engines. Its little more than a gimmick these days.

So its fair to say that whilst PR is a good thing, its not something that needs to be actively investigated.

    Thanks for the info.

Thats it in a nutshell really, unless your looking to sell links or have a site that needs a decent PR, there is no need to be concerned.

PR is usually a consequence of any good link building program, but no need to stress over it.
