Looking for an opinion on this domain
remortgage dot net
.ORG sold for for 5 figures
Yes its a nice name. Although id rather have mortgage.net and .nets always seem to sell so i'd say it has value.
Enduser .....maybe low xx,xxx ..ish
Reseller .....decent x,xxx
Wish you well with it
Thanks, appreciate your honest opinion on the name.
imo you are comparing apples to oranges by mentioning the .org sale. In fact its not exactly valid to say it sold for 5 figures (if you use £, it wasn't 5 figures).
It sold in 2008 - exact match benefit was flying high, people weren't getting penalised all over the place, Google wasn't bending over backwards to rank brands, pandas and penguins were something you seen at a zoo, & google weren't stuffing the serps with their own ads like this - https://www.google.co.uk/search?sit...8.10.0....0...1c.1.32.hp..2.8.839.S2eL1ezZhrg
I don't see it being worth much really - look at the top results... you can't rank it and you can't build a brand on it with that extension. So what exactly are you going to use it for?
Having owned the com and org i can say that i personally do not value the .net at more than low £,£££. Ranking for this term is near impossible now, it would only be a potential small brand for a small broker IMO. Prior to the nonsense Google does it was a decent 30k name.
If ranking for it is impossible, then why even value it at low 4 figures? What exactly would you do with it to see a return on a say £2000 purchase of it?
For a broker in this industry to have remortgage.net on their business cards etc and main site would be worth £2k (one deal). I am not talking a big player but one of the many small brokerages who wouldnt be as worried about it not being a .com.
I think putting it on a business card would lead to too many typos and leaking traffic/emails all over the place... I wouldn't want to do that myself.
me neither but im confident it would reach that figure at auction or with a bit of promotion
I think the only real value in it is buying at a low enough price to resell to some other sucker to fail at building a site on it.
Separate names with a comma.
