Well, as a mid-century guy, I was sad to hear of Sir Norman Wisdom's death today. Growing up in the era of the Beatles etc, his innocent humour was what we had in those days, and I for one thought he was great through my 'then' childs eyes. Yes, he was far different to the 'happening' types we see on the telly today (or whatever you would call them), but he was a super-fit entertainer who was loved by millions. His trip up before the Queen when receiving his Knighthood (sadly not on YouTube) was classic! He'll be looking down on us now, with Mr Grimsdale.
