thefilmreview.com is currently a UK-focussed film review website, consisting of over 500 pages including several movie related articles which hit the Digg frontpage.

It consists of film news, reviews written by film students and professional journalists, plus feature articles aimed at generating viral attention. There is also a forum which is currently underdeveloped. The site runs off of Wordpress with a bbPress forum - so extremely easy to manage, expand and develop.

We're reluctantly selling this website in order to concentrate on other websites in our portfolio, despite knowing of its tremendous potential. thefilmreview.com has built up some great authority with a Google PageRank of 4, plus 90 external links according to Yahoo Site Explorer.

AdSense boxes have only recently been added to the site, mostly to demonstrate potential advertising slots. Before this, the site was either ad-free or featuring a few banners. We haven't had time to try to monetize the site yet, so no revenue numbers are available. A new owner could easily start generating revenue however, using existing traffic and from new content publication (new articles tend to rank for related terms within a day or two).

thefilmreview.com hovers between 1st and 2nd page for "film reviews" and "film review" on Google.co.uk at the moment. We get decent traffic when on the 1st page and it would only take a dozen or two more links to get it there.

Due to the topic of the site, its content is very popular on Social Networks, having gone "Popular" on Digg 3 times - the largest seeing seeing ~10,000 uniques in a single day. The others received ~2,500 and ~3,500 respectively, as a result of the servers crashing due to traffic volumes. More Digg frontpages and even greater traffic levels would easily be possible with this site.

The website was accepted into Google News a while back, although later dropped out when we had a gap in-between news stories. A news story ranking for "Robert Pattinson" gained over 1,500 uniques in just 3 days, which shows the power of Google News inclusion. The site could easily get back in by simply publishing more movie news again.

Sale also includes the @thefilmreview Twitter account with 2,255 followers and a double opt-in mailing list of 1,569 movie fans (data correct on 12th Jan 2010)

Looking for offers of £2,000-£5,0000 (excludes VAT where applicable)

How many uniques/hits does the site see on a typical day? Have you received many advertising enquiries over the years.

I quite like the layout. It suits the site well.

Never been asked for daily stats before! Well yesterday received 43 unique visits, although overall it depends on what films come out and what content is added. The last story got 155 uniques on the day of submission, a story in August got 481 in a day. Mostly depends on your ability to create good content.

We've never actively sort advertising, although do get partnership enquiries - especially from film promoters. Lots of potential to approach film promoters and sell ads though.

Thanks :) Feel free to put in an offer ;)
