    Just came across this website that gives the top 1 Million domain names, split up. Click on a domain name button and you will see its breakdown.

    Very nice, thanks for sharing.

    Shows just how irrelevant the new GTLD will be when you look at the poor showing of the existing GTLD other than .com/net/org/info/biz...

    Yeah its pulling data from Alexa.org.

    Which is making the rankings of sedo, Acorn etc completely worthless as far as analysing traffic/popularity goes. The way Alexa gathers its data is ridiculously slanted towards tech & webmaster sites being over reported (since the site owners & users are far more likely to have installed the Alexa toolbar).

    that's true, but there is no viable alternative unfortunately!
    This data is rather neat regardless.

    Compete.com is significantly better but only works for USA. It will show you archive.org is so far out on USA sites though, that it bordering on worthless everywhere else too.
