    Hi There,

    I am looking to propagate the site with 1000's of used cars and thought in the short term https://www.ebaypartnernetwork.com would cover it.

    I am finding it hard to find a feed to cover this situation.

    What ever solution is put in place it must still allow users to add their own cars as they can do so now.

    If there is anyone out there who can help then please get in touch.

    Regards Michael Toth

    Feed = crappy copied content

    Why not have someone build your own site?

    It's a nice domain so it's worth doing well.

    I'd be interested in any replies too and I have a used cars geo.

    I was thinking using wordpress and some kind of small ad template to get it started.

    Hi,

    I have a similar site selling a specific used car with eBay adverts for relevant cars for sale. I would focus on creating the cars for sale site and then add the eBay feed in second. It shouldn't be too hard for a programmer who has experience with epn to integrate this.

    With a name like this you need more than Wordpress and a template.

    IMO it deserves some serious investment - it could become the leading used car site.

    Integrating eBay listings isn't a bad idea as it will show the site is populated until it grows. I would have a plan to take them off when you have enough listings of your own though

    Have you actually looked at what's there at the moment? A new template, given the minimal amount of work required to do that, would probably provided a much needed immediate improvement.

    That's unhelpful because if there were plans to seriously invest I doubt Michael would be asking for direction to content feeds. A flying saucer could land in front of my house today but it won't. How many tens of millions do you think UsedCars.co.uk might need to overtake Autotrader.co.uk?

    If you'd looked at the existing site and also noted Michael's "What ever solution is put in place it must still allow users to add their own cars as they can do so now." comment you might have been tempted to use the existing search facility there. Regardless of what car attributes one searches for, it appears "No Records Found" is returned. That appears to indicate that nobody has added any listings at the moment.

    From my understanding Michael wants an AudoTrader like feed but site visitors won't need to visit autotrader.co.uk to add listings (they'd be able to do it on UsedCars.co.uk). A white label partnership with them may be an option but that probably relies on the domain name already receiving decent levels of traffic (learnt from experience of talking to various companies about white labeling their sites). Gaining traffic might require publishing quality, unique content because why else would anyone visit the domain name to sell their car via UsedCars.co.uk when AutoTrader.co.uk is already ubiquitous?
