So Vincent Tabak has been charged with the murder of Joanna Yeates.

They didn't charge him until right at the end of the extended time they were granted, which makes me think was it really him OR is it another police fit up of someone JUST to make the public feel safe, and look good themselves ?

His court plea should be interesting !

I hope for the families sake that they have got the right man.

Let's hope that Chris Jefferies has his bit of justic also, after being wrongly accused and his name muddied forever.

I do think some of the tabloid coverage Chris Jefferies received so soon after the murder was pretty appalling and would not be surprised to see it become the subject of a Press Complaints Commission investigation. Innocent until proven guilty is a pretty important concept but it didn't seem to bother the tabloids at all.

What is getting me is the motive...

Tabak seemed to have worked very hard on his career, getting a PhD is not easy and then he throws it all away and for someone so calculating. I could only think that she refused his "offers" and it was a heat of the moment thing...speculating is dangerous, but can anyone else not understand why?

As far I know he is still on bail ?

Having a PHD doesn't stop you murdering someone, apparently years ago there was lots of doctors taking people off the street to experiment on them.

Ted Bundy had a degree in psychology then went on to study law.

Drink possibly..it was Christmas and people behave very differently after a few beers.

The paper the other day said he worked with her on a project at work or something. Possibly he popped round after a few beers knowing the boyfriend was away and things went completely wrong...

Then again - possibly he had nothing at all to do with it and will be shown to be totally innocent.

Its an interesting case though, would love to know what evidence the old bill have on him?!
