    I see Donny from Parked has gone and set up a google fed parking program at voodoo.com

    Can they work magic on the parking industry? time will tell.

    Anyone here using them?

    said I would give them a try.. I have not used parking programs in almost a year now, so under no illusion as to what they will offer.

    Parking needs to evolve, its dead weight in the domain industry and the only people making money are the parking programs and google.

    Domain owners can no longer cover reg costs even on large portfolios.

    I park at Sedo - not because I make any real money with parking - but I get good sales there. Joanna Birch at Sedo UK is a star ;)

    I have sold more at AfterNIC in the past year than sedo in the past 5. I am sure that is more to do with the massive amount of registrars who are part of the extended gateway compared to SEDOs.

    AfterNIC have GoDaddy and Enom where the majority of domain reg take place now.

    No. None. But that is more to do with the fact that until a month ago I only owned around 100 uk domains.. the bulk of my portfolio has been TLDs to be fair.

    Over the years the amount of doodoo I have heard about bodis, I have just taken the decision to stay away from them.. however that should not be a reflection of whether or not they are good.

    In my book all parking is crap now.

    I've only been using them a couple of months, but the figures look good so far. I'll take dollars over rumours.

    CTR = 10.76%
    CPC = $0.35
    RPM = $37.15

    at Parked I was getting;

    CTR = 5.03%
    CPC = $0.15
    RPM = $7.34

    Brewsters,

    As a newbie I am reading and learning a lot from the various threads.

    I have a number of Domains of a similar nature (UK Geographic) and am looking to park some of them whilst I get to grips with learning how to develop one of them, to use as a template fo the others - over time.

    At the moment I have been looking at 123-Parking, but picked up on your note re BODIS. Their website looks a little 'thin' and does not seem to offer any form of tailoring (e.g. as per 123).

    Perhaps you could help with a few comments on the following:

    - Do they allow any tailoring, or do you just list the domains within your account and leave them to it?

    - What currency do they pay in?

    - How do they determine the content for a site that is geographic in nature ?

    - Is it at all possible to look at examples of their parking sites?
    (I do understand that you cannot promote your own domains)

    Hope you can help.

    Regards

    John

    John, other than choosing the main keyword I'm not sure what customisation is available - not something I'm too bothered about as in my experience with other parking co's, it made little or no difference when I tinkered with them.

    Then pay out in USD - I get paid into paypal so I use the money for purchases etc.

    It’s funny you say that. Recently I had conversation with Joanna over the phone. It has left bitter taste in my mouth. I was really trying to be nice and to listed to what she says and then get my message across but she just kept talking over me. Was it because bad time of the month or not, I don’t know but it wasn’t nice at all.
