I have done a bit of photgraphic freelance work, with more in the pipeline. Up to now I've used pages on one of my generic websites to display my pictures, but now feel it's time to develop a standalone site. I feel that I should use my own name, as this helps to give a sense of identity to the thing - that they are dealing with a real person and, with recommendations, that people are recommending an actual person. So I don't want something like cumbriaphotography.co.uk. I'm not looking for keyword rich, I'm not looking for brandable. Lets assume my name is Nick Robins (it's not). Which of these do you think would work best in terms of people being able to remember it etc. I'm not particularly wanting to rank high in Google, more for people to find my site when it's my site they know they're looking for. nickrobins.com - already taken nickrobins.co.uk - already taken nickrobins.org nickrobins.org.uk nickrobins.net nick-robins.com - already taken nick-robins.co.uk nickrobinsphotography.com nickrobinsphotography.co.uk - already taken nickrobins-photography.com nickrobins-photography.co.uk Considerations are - I don't usually like domains with dashes Are peopole more likely to type in .com or.co.uk? I don't want people who are looking for my site to find a different site and then give up looking.
