Hmm. I'm using the standard editor (User CP > Edit Options, {scroll to bottom}) and don't appear to have that icon. I think I distantly remember seeing comments about a spell checker being available, some time ago. I've looked at the advanced editor and, on first impressions, it appears to be the same as the standard editor. The basic editor is different. Can you screenshot me the spell checker button, please, so I can see what you are referring to (nearly typed too there again!)?

    Read from the bottom:

    Nominet to me in reply:

The domain names in question have been through our renewal process, which
    has extended their suspension dates.

A registrar can only submit one renewal request per domain name, however
if the renewal request is not received before the expiry date then a
pro-forma invoice will be sent directly to the registrant. If a positive
renewal request is received after the pro-forma in invoiced then this
invoice will be cancelled, and we will invoice the registrar. If however
the renewal terms expire then we would again invoice the registrant. If
the second pro-forma invoice is not paid then the domain name will be
suspended, and if no payment is received then cancelled.

It is not possible for the registrar to send a second renewal request to
extend their payment terms. The original invoice we sent to them must be
    paid.

We do not have any special credit privileges with any of our registrars,
the suspension date can sometimes be extended as explained above.

I hope this answers your query, however if you need any further
    information please let me know.

    -----------------
Me to Nominet is response to a suggestion that I pay an invoice after querying the status of the domains listed in the OP:

    Hi xxxx,

These are not my domains. I was enquiring as to why they were not
suspended. According to my calculations they should be in the drop pool
within the next seven days. As an example, shouldn't proxy.co.uk be
released on 24th September? Does the current registrar have some special
credit privileges or grace periods which are not afforded to the general
community? The list of domains I have quoted below are all tagged to the
    same registrar.

So are you the guy behind TAG THORNTON or the entity of Name Account? If the first, did you warn the registrant for renewing those names? If again you are the first from the sentence "V174 Domain name has been renewed, but not yet paid for." the registrant did not renew the names but you did renew them by your knowledge?
