    Hi

Say I have a .co.uk that I've had for a few years but plan on putting it up on the market. I also registered the .uk recently after hearing about it.

If I sell only the .co.uk ...Do I automatically forfeit the right to the .uk to the new owner? ..because they will be the new owner of the .co.uk.? ...that is if they wish to pursue it before the 5 years is up.

    Any help much appreciated.

    Thanks

If you registered the .uk then it's a separate domain on its own, if you were to now sell the co.uk and transfer it, you would still have the .uk registered to you

It might be a sticking point when selling it though if the buyer wants the .uk too and you don't want to include it

If you hadn't of registered the .uk and sold the co.uk, the unregistered rights would of been transferred with the co.uk to the new owner

Splitting them and selling the .co.uk without mentioning the .uk is unethical in my opinion.
