Shared Website

Has anyone got any examples of a website where an individual writes the contact for their own page and adds their own Adsense code?

So in essence you have 1 domain, 1 site, lots of pages (all link and indexed from the front page) each written by individuals and all earning for the author.

Has this been tried before? Can anyone see any pitfalls?

Hmmm, i have adsense sharing enabled on my neglected blog portal site:

www.myblogonline.co.uk

The user can choose if they want to use Adsense on their blog. If they do my code displays 10% of the time.

Im think Im going to follow this up and open it up to a wider audience.

I have 4 or 5 people waiting to provided unique content pages on their specialist subject and in return for their scribbles, they can import their own adsense.

I know Joomla has a adsense sharing plugin, although i'm not sure if it supports multiple (ie more than 2) sharing.

Worth looking into:

Ive decided to make all pages the same layout, with same header and footer and adsense position to give the site a more structured layout.

I guess that I will have to add the HTML to the individual pages, or just provide the template source and receive back a complete .txt file ready to ftp.

Without using a CMS there is alot more manual work but you can really optimise the code to the maximum.

I've yet to find a CMS that enables you to easily have near perfect on-site seo.

Although using a CMS would save alot of time!

Is it worth restricting everyone to a fixed domain topic, and some rules.

so one guy doesn't get banned for spam and another for duplicate content or whatever.

and you can have a basis to ban them if you don't like them.
