single template multiple sites

I know this could get complex but has anyone considered using a simple temple with database driven content to host all their domains? So one general template and then depending on the domain pull the relevant content from the database?

then using affilaite links and a quick copy and paste of some info for each one generate the pages on the fly?

i can see this getting really complex and your SEO been really poor - any thoughts on the real pitfulls of doing this .........before i get carried away?

thanks

Not Ideal to have the same host, same design layout, same set of links etc... as the search engines will pick up on this and could devalue all your sites.

However, it's better to have content on your domains than none at all, I have done this myself many times but only as a temporary measure until I have time to do a proper job.

well thats the issue - i have a large number of domains that get very low traffic but have fairly good typo namer (well i think they do ) parking just doesn;t work for me and my small experiments (below) with affiliates are proving far more profitable than parking domains that just aren;t going to get in the search engines on their own - i need a quicker way of getting the traffic up on all of them?
