Image downloads

Hi guys,

Real newbie question here. When you download an icon/image set how do you separate them in your image/picture file? They seem to be stuck together as a single image.

Thanks,

Mark

Hello Mark,

I’m not quite sure what you mean, could you elaborate?

If you mean you are downloading an image set, but they all appear on one image, then they need to be manually edited. Feel free to PM me the file and I’ll get on to this right away!

Do you mean an icon set from say istock etc ??

Are you using Photoshop, if so, use the rectangular marque tool and select the part of the large image you require, copy it, and then open a new image, then paste it into there.

You could also use the crop tool and reduce the main image to what you want, but be carefull you don't save it, as you'll lose everything that was cropped off.

Hope this is what you were asking and hope it helps...

Richard

Hi Richard,

thanks for your reply.

I am not familiar with Photoshop I'm just starting out with simple CSS design.
It's all gone over my head so I'll stick with downloading single images for the time being.

Thanks anyway,

Cheers,

Mark

Hi Richard,

I got that mad at not being able to do it that I've deleted the image!

Thanks for the offer anyway and if I get stuck again I'll take up your offer of help.

Cheers,

Mark
