Whats the best free forum software, i've used PHPBB before but am frustated at the lack of certain mods like Search Engine Friendly mods and sitemap mod etc.

Are there any other free alternatives out there?

Okay well i've decided to use http://www.simplemachines.org/ software, and its so easy to use. So far i'd recommend it to anyone.

I had'nt seen the URL or sitemap mod for PHPBB before, thanks for the links.

This is my new forum after 2 hours.........

I would make sure whatever you use is upgradable to vBulletin (as we did from PHPbb) so if the board becomes popular and funded you can go for sometjing better later on.

I'm curious why everyone says vbulletin, can the other boards not cope with large amounts of visitors?
