property site

Hi guys, need some help.

I am about to buy a 'property site' which i found from hotscripts.com. It is www.2020realtor.com. What I want to know is if i buy it will i be able to edit the html? How does it work, can I add my own logo for instance and picture to the top???

I know there is a feature you pay for to remove their logos etc which I will do, but how easy is it to edit?

Shouldn't be a problem. goto page, do file save as and then modify it using dreamweaver etc... You obviously won't capture any script that way but can change pics etc...

Forgive my ignorance. So if i buy this software/script what normally happens? They send it to me? It is a whole database script etc though. Then I open it in dreamwaver and edit the pics like thats? add my logo etc.

So once I have the files saved etc, and I get my hosting log in etc how do I put the site up?

Still want that cyprus site up? any chance you can email the files to my buyingfirsttime address? Did you change the nameservers?

I've taken a quick look at that site, they don't give much info on the script do they! Best bet is to ask the developers your questions before buying.

Its unlikely to be as easy as opening in DW and editing, you'll probably have to manually edit the code........

thanks had a look but not sure it is suited for what I require. Im looking to have an agent directory and also allow landlords to upload properties. This seems to be quite good, as long as it can be edited etc, but I believe it can as I played around with the online demo (of the one priced $249 which seems better). Not quite sure how I will edit it though...but will sort that out a bit later.
Is it something I could send to someone, i.e a webdesigner and they could change it then send it back to me?

Ash long time no speak, the design I did for the cyprus one was rather poor but if you get a chance that would be great!

Most likely.

I use property max on my lettings site. Last time i looked its not suited for multiple landlords / agents.

If you could email the files for cyprus site to buyingfirsttime that would be great as the other email is on my work machine.

No it's designed for a single estate agent / user. It would need additional admin section for multi-user, though I;m not sure if the pro version has multi-admins.

I'm in the early stages of development of dreamhome.co.uk/eu, and it looks like it's going to have to be fully bespoke. Still a good excuse to learn ajax techniques.

It allows multi admins the problem is they can all edit all the data. Perhaps with some programming knowledge it could be adapted to suit.
