Hello all, I am new to this forum so first of all, hello. OK, here is my question... I had an idea to build a website using actual 3D panoramic video/photographs of a local business so the site appeared as if you were actually in the shop. Whilst you are browsing around the shop you would be able to click on products in the video/photograph to reveal more information about each product and place an order. I am going to see Billy Connolly the famous Scottish comedian live tomorrow night and his website is sort of what I am looking to achieve, although it is static and I would prefer a panoramic/browsing around type view. http://www.billyconnolly.com/ Can anyone give me any advice on how to achieve such a goal? I haven't seen anything else like this so any advice would be appreciated. All the best, Peeps |

What sort of shop is it? Regardless, it's likely I would advise strongly against doing this, as it will be really bad for usability and conversion. It's one of those ideas where it will look good, but usability will be poor and the shop won't make any sales. If you want some conversion optimisation resources to look at then PM me. Rgds

Seems a nice idea, however, how practical would this be? What about mobile access - this is likely to be cumbersome. I could see it as a novelty for a while, but I'd get a bit fed-up with it as a regular user. Give it a mock up and get a few people to test it for usability, it may work.
