New site affiliate or not

I'm working on a blog type site but will have lots of opportunities to place affiliate links on reviews etc.
Would you start off including affiliate links straight away or keep it ad+link free until the site is established with traffic and ranking? i'm including 1 small adsense block.

In my experience, affiliate links tend to make a site jump around the rankings more when it's new, but adsense doesn't seem to make much difference. I'd go without.

Thanks. If i've got a page with embedded you tube videos does google treat those like affiliate links? how does it differentiate a normal outbound link and an affiliate one?
