Thought that would get your attention lol

    Ive put up http://www.likeasite.co.uk

Its a simple website where you can submit your website and you can see if people like your website and can comment using facebook.

It is not a link farm as no links go out of the site to your URL. When people like your site it will show up on there facebook wall that they liked you site, same as if people comment.

    Comments/suggestions welcome :)

    Thanks

Nice idea but the name doesn't seem to make sense.

Might be worth registering likeasite.co.uk / likeawebsite.co.uk and swapping it over

    Hope these comments help ...

I just tried submitting LowPrices.co.uk and the submission form has some usability issues:

Need to explain what thumbnail will be used for, and file type and dimensions required.

There's no field marked as URL submission.

The big text area has no instructions or field name.

A much better name for the site, catchy and descriptive.

I note however that a certain social networking site can get a bit funny about others using the "like" term (totally unjustifiably in my opinion), but this may be why the BBC used a "love" button.

Why don't you put a nofollow link to each of the sites submitted, because otherwise, the visitor has to manually type in the URL to review the site, and most won't bother.

because i dont want to turn it into a link farm, as we all know google and the likes hate link farms. Its meerly a simple like and comment on your website site. If people like it or comment it will show on the fb wall.

I was guessing it wouldn't become a linkfarm if links are nofollowed.

I can see the "incentive" as a website owner is that I get to find out what people really think about my site and perhaps some valuable feedback/comments. However, where is the "incentive" for people to actually do the reviews? Unless there is an "incentive" of some sort, e.g. free entry to prize draw etc, I can't see how you are going to get enough reviewers.

    Hope this helps ...

OK sure, and I hope it is a success for you. I'm just saying though that in order to make a website a success, you have to think of the human psychology behind it, and think about the "incentive". In fact thinking this way is the way that I evaluate all new web projects.

I think it's a good idea. When I tried it in IE7 (which I keep to test websites we do) my system crashed so I tried it again and it wouldn't load properly; however I then retried in Firefox and I was able to submit my site (it didn't appear in the list below but I assume that's due to moderation).

I have accepted your site. All sites are moderated at the moment to stop people spamming it with viagra crap lol.

Nice Idea, but usually if i want to check if the visitors like a site that I have, then i check the bounce rate of this site, if the bounce rate is very high then there is something wrong with my website.
