The last couple of days I have been converting an old blog I had into a voucher code / deal site.

..... http://for-him.co.uk/ - so my plan is to focus on menswear, male grooming, gifts and experiences for men.

Any thoughts on what to do next, error spotting etc would be appreciated :)

Nice Couponpress theme modifications. This is the latest version, I've also be messing with it a bit on a couple of others sites I'm launching soon.

Colours look good for the theme.

I would consider adding a H1 tag as its missing, possibly to the logo with title tag.

I would also wording coupons to be discounts of vouchers

I would also add a welcome/intro and put it just below the h1/h2 above the Latest Coupons section. Then in the heading tag put your primary keywords as I'm sure your primary keywords aren't 'Today's Latest Coupons'

Maybe move the Sidebar widgets around put the 'What's the Story' at the top.

    Just my opinions

I have been using the same theme on a Dutch voucher website http://www.shopkortingscode.nl - Shop met Korting met een Kortingscode, Actiecode of Promotiecode

And made a fair number of modifications to the theme so have a look and in case there is something you want to change as well please give me a shout

    Hi. Some initial thoughts.

As the domain name has a hyphen, branding for recall is quite important. The copperplate font isn't ideal but could be OK, however the dark grey random distressing makes it read like Kim rather Him. If you're not wedded to the font and the distressing, I suggest going for a cleaner look. There are several different ways that you refer to For-Him across the site : all uppercase and all lowercase, for example.

I can see the reason for capitals in the vertical expansion of the letters on the About page, but even there I think you need to reinforce the hyphen as a separator between the third and four rows (and includ the hyphen in the introductory paragraph.

I suggest you use a simple Copyright statement, without the keyword stuffing.

The search box is extremely dominant. Fine if you want that as the main navigatiuon tool, but it distracts from the content on the main page.

The navigation on the righthand sidebars doesn't work as I expected : items are OK, but I expected clicking on the block's title bar to take me somewhere.

The list of blog entries at the bottom feels excessive.

I've never heard of Zirh, and when I use your search option nothing comes up.

    Hope that helps,
    David

    Hi David,

Many thanks for taking the time to visit the site and share your impressions. That was a very useful review for me.

I already put a new logo on, and will look to fix the rest in due course.

    All The Best,

    Rob

    Get those affiliate links masked!

    Use "go codes" plugin.

    Thanks for the reminder.
    Job done.
Combination of a plugin I already use called "pretty link" and the themes in-built masking function.
