I have a tradesman website that i run spare time , i'm not a domain or web expert my far if at all, it would be great to get some experienced opinions.

Your website looks very proffessioanl. I like how it looks like, its color combinations, styles, layouts and images! The content is also very informative! Honestly there is nothing that I would change, remove or improve!

Great concept! How is the site monetised out of interest if you are not charging tradesmen for listing?

Thanks Guys for these promising feedbacks , the site isn't currently monetized as to be honest my traffic is really poor i desperately need to do something regards seo / links etc but really don't know were to start.

If any one could advise that would be great.

Basic seo wise pretty poor e.g. keywords, description, other Meta etc if you have no web knowledge etc get your designer “K“ to add it although it should have been there at the start?

Offering it free to tradesmen is often counter productive there’s no incentive for them to offer competitive pricing... Not so good for Joe public or you...

They get the repeat work you'll get 0... But they do a bad job it’s the site public will slate (just check out review sites most mention the site not the cowboy that did it? ), High % tradesmen will recommend other trades to clients... , Clients will often recommend the tradesmen to friends. Tradesmen won’t recommend there competition or different trades if there getting work why share the golden egg … yes these happen even if you charge but at leasat you make some revenue before you lose them ?

Loads think I’ll get traffic then I’ll charge... why wait if people post jobs trades will pay... also trades being free is not going to drive traffic there... You'll need deep pockets if there is no revenue making stream you cannot compete without one you have to think revenue at the start…

Its a tough area to compete in (SEO wise), there have been a lot of sites started in the last 2 years of this type and some are very good. Personally, I think a more web 2.0 and clean look would work best for a site like this.

I think it looks a bit too busy at first glance. There's no dominant section, so my eyes wander about looking for a place to land.

Assuming you want visitors to read about how it works and then click get a quote.

So I'd strip some of the less important areas and make these more dominant.

The log in, online offline bit, and the section with the 'free' logo are all distracting from the important bit of informing visitors what the site is about, and getting them to click a quote.
