Hello the forum. I'm out near San Francisco now, used to live in London for a bit. I've been in the online marketing realm since the late 90's, paid search since '04, but relatively new to domains. I'm currently working for one of the larger affiliate companies in the US. Looking forward to learning from the collective wisdom here!

Hard to say which name is best or worst for me, probably more like bad and worst... badteacher.co.uk is one, remittanceservices.co.uk is another.

Wonder if I may be the first to say hiya to you first, since your new post is appearing just above mine.

San Francisco huh, great city, been there several times, ex girlfriend has one or two homes on that coast, beautiful place. Bit jealous actually.

Can I say with a full on British sense of humour that both those names you gave were bloomin' awful, almost as bad as my gaddingaround.



Looks like a jolly decent forum here, I'm presently sifting my way through a ton of posts, learning what I can before jumping in and posting.

Btw, there's an excellent Irish Bar slap bang in the middle of town, just below Chinatown, serve Newcastle Brown Ale and some darn fine chips if ever you feel the urge to get a decent pint down you and whatnot.

Thanks! I launched an EMEA sales and marketing office for a US company and cycled back to the US after that was done. Miss it like crazy, I had a brief visit over the summer but that's not enough.

I was thinking along the same lines regarding that domain, but then I think your libel laws over there are a bit more restrictive that ours so I'm not sure how far one can take that sort of thing?

badteacher.co.uk is one, remittanceservices.co.uk is another, hampshireestateagent.co.uk. I don't know the UK market so its tough for me to say which is best. Got some more as well, of a similar ilk

Just had a thought about the badteacher.co.uk, develop it as the name suggest s but not as a piccie site but as a site where students can vent profanity free grieveances,bad teaching methods, about their teachers in a constructive manner. whaddya say

I like it, good idea. I do need to get a better handle on libel in the UK so I'd know where the line is. Seems to me that a site like that could go viral if done properly. One challenge is that a site like that would probably require a fair amount of moderator effort..
