A liquidated company domain name was due to drop today, and was suspended up until yesterday.

I had been in contact with the liquidators about purchasing it and they agreed, however today I notice the domain name has been renewed and transferred into the name of 'Andrew Jones' with whois hidden - it is listed on Sedo already with a high activity seller rating.

Anyone have any contact info?

I would contact Nominet ASAP to flag it up if the liquidators ought to have the say over it and I would guess the liquidators are doing this as well as they would have to.

It is worth saying it could be that a dominer has legitimately traced a director or the like and had them sign a confirmation, and it could be any number of people at fault rather than the domainer etc.

Thanks for your reply - it could of course all be a legitimate transaction as you say.

To make it more complicated, the liquidators listed on Companies House which I contacted passed control of the domain over to an auction house (who I was in contact with and have confirmed I was the only person they had spoke to regarding the domain).

They didn't seem too bothered over the domain name so probably wouldn't want the hassle in chasing it up, however I will be giving Nominet a call and find out what's happened
