I am going to be marketing this domain from next week onwards, and I am interested to know other peoples thoughts on value.

Here some facts / statistics about the industry etc:

    1. ppi claims gets 22,200 exact searches a month at present with an average cpc of £13.55

    2. The banks are currently averaging payouts of £371 MILLION per month

    3. There is an estimated 7 million people who have yet to come forward to make a claim

    4. It will realistically take a further 3 years for the ppi claims industry to be finally over.

Some official reading from the FCA can be seen here too : http://www.fca.org.uk/consumers/fin...protection-insurance/ppi-compensation-refunds

I know it is a very time sensitive domain name, and I am looking for some genuine comments / views on this domain name given how lucrative the industry is

Alternatively if you have any interest in the domain prior to me actively marketing it for sale, then feel free to PM

    Thanks.

Cracking name Frank - my thoughts are £10,000 fairly easy. Beyond that definitely possible but will take harder marketing...with a hard sell to the right companies you could realise 20-25k I would have thought.

    Good luck.

    4. is extremely optimistic. Many of the providers have already pulled out of affiliate marketing / ppi in general and looking to other places instead. Pingtree killed their ppi leads program for example. They did pay me £30k though for leads i sent them so there is/was money to be made

I would be surprised if you can get £5k for this domain... ppi has been spammed absolutely everywhere and I think all the real juicy leads have claimed long ago now. Shame as the domain was a £50k one at the height of EMD abuse and PPI leads being hot. Please tell me you've not just sat on this domain for the last several years...

I agree it is nowhere near as hot as it was a few years back, but there is still huge money to be made in the industry too aside from just online - it also doesn't come much better than the actual money term in a .com not to mention the credibility factor also.

There are still affiliate programmes out there if someone wanted to do down that route. For example http://www.ppireturn.co.uk/Affiliates/ who are a division within a solicitors firm and pay 30% of their own commission (which they quote as an average payment to an affiliate of £180 per case) but I do hear what you are saying.

You know me better than that Lee - it would have either been developed or sold a long while ago ;)

I am motivated to sell the name so I can't see me having it for long though, and I have already an email about the domain since asking for the appraisal :)

    Hi Frank,

I've sold a couple of ppi names to end users.

One of them was PPIclaims.co for $5,500

the other was PPIrefunds.co.uk for $4,190

Still got the contact details of both buyers somewhere.

    Great name!

Tried a few end users, some interest but will keep plodding on.
