All my sites are now showing API throttling issues and one in particular, has stopped working altogether.

Aparently if you send too many requests to the Amazon API and do not have the sales levels to match your request levels, they block you!

I have discussed this with FSB support and they basically told me nothing they can do, so I guess I have to DELETE some of my FSB sites to reduce the API requests until my sales pick up enough to support the amount of traffic I am sending to Azon.

What is worse, I cannot find anywhere to check my API usage and from what site teh API calls are being made to be able to manage it better.

    Anyone have any thoughts?

Have you tried asking over at the FSB forums? I would be interested in this also. I would ask over there but all my posts are moderated and never usually get published due to me questioning certain things i didn't like the look off :)

I don't think much of the auto populate feature on the site, I thought it would initially add whatever amount of books requested, and that the auto populate feature would keep adding products to my store but, all the categories are staying at around 100 books, I searched for why that is and came across this topic on their forum:

    https://www.freshmarketingforum.com...t-impression-of-fsb-hopeless.3978/#post-18118

    Part of which says:

The suggestion of setting up more auto populates for each category to add more than 100 products wont work with books, otherwise you'll have childrens books in the travel book category and so on, I can't see how you could add books to each category, fiction obviously has to go in fiction, what other search term or browse node could you use other than the one that is for fiction.

There are 49 million books in the Amazon book section, I have 33 categories on my store covering each genre of book listed on Amazon, so I can't see the point in being limited to only being able to have 100 books for each genre.

To use Oliver Twist as an example, that book isn't listed on my store along with millions of others, so anyone searching the store for it will go elsewhere when they can't find it, now I'm not sure books is suited to FSB, it's probably better for stores where there aren't a lot of products, such as foam yoga block where there are only 253 listed.

Can anybody confirm how much control you get over the Script Code for developers to create plugins / addons or add functionality when it is installed?

So you have no access to the code at all to make changes? They must send you some php files to get it installed or is it all encrypted?

Hey guys, yes we are working through the guides and videos to improve them.

You can see most of them here now (whether you are a member or not) http://guides.freshdevelopment.org/

@Systreg it sounds like your issue was because of the store cache. When you are logged in as admin, the store is not cached. When you logout it may have an old cache from before you made the edits.

Just clear the cache and your good to go.

If you have any issues I strongly recommend you ask on our forum, in our Facebook mastermind group or on the helpdesk - I can't guarantee an answer for you here on this thread.

There are a lot of features in FSB and I know it can be a bit overwhelming sometimes, but we will do everything we can to help you out :)

If you want to try out Fresh Store Builder we have a special offer on at the moment, and that includes a 30 day refund (no questions asked). Please use the Acorn Domain forum admins link here to help him out and support this forum:

    http://jvz6.com/c/113337/159435

The offer gives you unlimited personal stores for $40 (normally $97) or a personal + developer license for $99 (normally $97 + $297).

And about the drink.. if anyone is in the Blackpool area, drinks are on me!

How much freedom is there with the code in terms of adding functionality? I am getting mixed reports :( Your support guys said no, posters on here said yes and no, your website says yes.

There is only one file which is IonCube encrypted, and that is the one that communicates with the Amazon API, so you shouldn't ever need to edit that.

Apart from that you have full control to edit template files, store functions, admin files etc.

If you let me know what you want to change I can confirm and give you an idea how to do it.

Sorry that you got mixed messages!
