Could someone remind me how this works again? I'd naturally need to transfer my domains after I depart this land, will a simple note in a will do the job, then the £22.00 + VAT for bulk. I should be able to get the solicitor who does the will to sign on my behalf shouldn't I?

Has anyone some text alredy that can fit into a will or will the bank do that, Will?

    Cheers
    Lee

Talking of wills etc ,it was/is quite poignant to see that the late Peter Jennings domain is expiring post his death. It brings it home to you just how fragile things are and how you cannot take things with you !! I have written to ABC suggesting they renew the domain.

No one plans on dying, that's why they make a will. If they knew when they were going they could just phone round and sign things the day before. "dya fancy this bestest mate? I'm popping me cloggs tomorrow...."!

We have a fairly sympathetic procedure for deceased registrants. This allows anyone who can prove they are the executor of the will to arrange the transfer of the domains and gives them a year in which to do it. The will does not need to specifically cover the domains nor does a transfer from need to be pre-signed.

I can't actually find any more details on our web site to send you a link to so I will need to get that looked at.

    Jay

What happens if you die, and before the executor gets his/her act together (becuase they don't know how domain renewal works for instance) certain names don't get renewed in time ? Can they be still be retrieved by the executor?

    Thanks
    Stephen.

I don't think so. I've asked for the procedure to be documented on our web site to be sure.
