Mine isn't included either - presumably it doesn't include self-managed tags.

I don't understand how this doesn't contravene the AUP... as a little fish who has been slapped on the wrist by Nom, it winds me up somewhat.

It's not a list of tags signed up - it appears to be a list of tags under a membership which has signed up.
i.e. they're listing acquired tags which are no longer used and tags which wont be taking part

Given that nearly all of those companies (tags) were acquired by Godaddy...

They would have been setup as independent credit accounts (members) in the first place.

So I would at the very least expect a credit account for Paragon, 123-reg, Heart Internet , Domain Monster, Daily etc

I’ve never seen a tag get assigned to another member account on acquisition ?

It must happen somehow though, and I'm assuming they would have to "apply" for it. I recently inquired about changing my tag to something else, they told me I had to apply for a new tag. So presumably they can't just change tags or reassign them to another account if they can't even change the name. I may be totally wrong though it could just be policy.

Well if rumours are to be believed some domains have already been 'promised' to certain registrars in the drop. I don't think they'd need to go through the public scrutiny of openly multitagging :)

Top fix a trypo in a tag has previously required applying for a new one, a bulk-release from old-tag to new tag, and then telling them the old tag was no longer needed.
It's a deliberate nominet choice not to allow the tag shortname itself to be altered, possibly for audit/database purposes.

They can be moved between members, and/or memberships merged by Nominet - have done that :)

Policy changed appx 5 years ago about transferring membership itself - in one M&A I worked on, the new owners had to join Nominet and then take on the tags & domains etc, rather than as in a previous one, simply had the details of the membership changed to the new owner
[ the exception to that appears to be a formal change of name through companies house i.e. where the company number remains the same, so same legal entity, just new branding ]

Thanks. Yes I did wonder if that was the case, maybe for "paperwork" sakes. I'm about to change mine sometimes soon, so I guess I'll find out how it goes. I have done it before when I first joined Nominet, they did make me apply for an additional tag and in the end moved all my domains over to the new tag but this was before I became a member and accredited registrar. Would you think they would still be able to move things over? Nothing will be changing aside from my Companies House data in this case, it would just be a rebrand.

If the entity is the same, and you can prove the associated change (i.e. the limited company number is the same, just change of name etc) then Nominet will be able to change the TAG for you. If you are changing entity, i.e. switching from a limited company to personal, even if you remain the name on the account, you will need a fresh membership with all associated costs.

Thanks Ian, the entity will be remaining as a limited company so it sounds like it's straightforward for me, at least.
