I put mine on when I go into a shop, so it's only on for a few minutes. Keep it in a Ziplok plastic bag. I agree that it's hot, but when you know it's for the briefest while it's not really any sort of burden. Don't see a need to wear one on the streets if you do the usual shy-and-swerve away from other people as they pass you
Put a Mask On! (Warning: Contains strong language) If you hate wearing a mask. You are really not going to like wearing a ventilator.
I've already given up wearing a mask to shop I know people will shame me for it but If going on holiday abroad is ok , If people can go sit in a cinema without a mask, if the majority of people working in shops don't wear one then really whats the point I breath through my nose, nostrils point to the floor so I'm not directly breathing on or towards anyone If I were to use public transport then yes it's more confined and a mask makes more sense
I do see your point, and see it all as a matter of degrees really. Lots of old people doing their weekly shop may not be pub goers or jetting off anywhere, but just want their weekly shop in as safe an atmosphere as possible. But yes, I see public transport and shops as about as good as it gets, because it's not practical in several other environments. My main hope is that vaccines or more effective treatments advance as quickly as possible, before we're at the point we were previously. That might not be a realistic hope though, so at minimum I'd expect the over 70s to do another disappearing act for a bit. In any case, good health and good luck to all!
Two things I don't believe in, one is the blame game and the other is that two wrongs make a right. It matters not what others do we all need to act as responsible as our own personal values dictate.
Has everyone been keeping up their exercise regimens over the past few months? I've been making good use of my kettlebell of late. Kettlebell swings are knackering!
Most activists revel in chaos, so government in a free country have a problem fighting against social media which is led by extreme activists who indulge for self interest. The majority of people involve themselves in politics only at the ballot box, a minority of the population, who are the majority of social media activists have a mission to disrupt government and so prevent government from governing and providing good outcomes to problems. Minority career activists care little about the well being of the country and it's people but more about their own self interest and the axe they have to grind. So a lock down for Christmas to prevent the poor from a release from their worries in return for the better off going on foreign holidays.
I'd say 99.99% of the public on twitter are pro mask I know you will be 100% pro mask in shops but I've seen it suggested masks should be enforced outside at all times, I think some countries are already doing that; you can argue about indoor spaces but outside at all times? when it is getting beyond science and common sense I've also seen gloves and goggles suggested next Would you push back at any point? masks at all times, gloves and goggles? plastic bags on shoes?
for me it's whatever it takes, short sharp if necessary. It's like war if you love your country you do whatever it takes to succeed.
Even if the science doesn't back it up? that's scary, more so than covid You see this image often But another one he did was this, which for me is just as telling but seen less often Coughing at someone directly 6 feet away only produced a very small result, still dangerous of course Are people going to directly cough at one another? maybe they are, you would hope not Imagine how that agar would look with someone walking past 2m away and breathing through their nose, the agar would be totally clean lets be honest For me the advice should be Mask on public transport Mask elsewhere if you want to, not required Breath through your nose if you can (you should anyway it's good for you) Social distance Don't talk in enclosed environments if you don't have to, if you do try and do it from a further distance Don't go out if you have symptoms and definitely don't just cough or sneeze on people
Or simply wear a mask when you do what has to be done, travel and shopping. and then really the science is something for the scientists. I don't question the science of walking forwards or backwards, I just know that walking forwards is easier and safer. We have to travel and we have to shop and use medical facilities. so lets be courteous to others by wearing masks under those circumstances, it's already established that we don't wear a mask to protect ourselves we wear it to protect others.
If you find both pictures equally telling, why are you now giving greater significance to the second? Genuinely interested, not a criticism.
The first one seems to suggest wearing a mask much improves things The second one clarifies yes it does at close range but there's not much difference at 6 feet And we're talking not much difference with projectile coughing What would the difference be breathing through your nose unmasked vs masked at 6 feet? I would bet zero
Two things to note. Second picture only covers coughing. And both cover different time frames. But I see what you're saying.
