Would be grateful for thoughts on how much BigDay.co.uk would be worth, as I'm considering selling it. Ideal for wedding related topics, etc.

Sadly you won't achieve anything like that on this forum though, you will probably have to hold out for an end user which might take some time. If you want to sell it quick, your best bet is domainlore or another auction site.

Spot on, I like the name and it could do his £12k if he was lucky enough to find a motivated buyer but it's a big if.

    Surprising that .uk was dropped.

New owner achieving good prices for some rather abstract names.

Yeah, whatever the arguments for or against .uk, it's unfortunate that the OP let the .uk drop, it devalues it for me.

I have to agree. The .uk is definitely the more aesthetically pleasing of the 2 extensions, so letting the pair split was a poor business decision.

Out of interest - If the .uk wasn't worth the reg fee for you, why do you value the .co.uk at £12k?

I don't know a huge amount about domains and I'm not a domain reseller, so didn't know about the .uk at the time. I've had a few offers around this mark over the years, but didn't want to sell as I was using the domain at the time (was previously a wedding venue forum). Will get it listed on sedo in the meantime and contact some of the old interested parties in case they're still after it.

Thanks for all the info and advice :).

The .com .net .uk extensions all not in use, so I would suggest if you get a reasonable enough offer I would take it.
