    Hi all,

Any thoughts on this domain name?

I'm thinking of developing the domain into a website,
but would like some feedback first.

I think the domain says it all.

    Thanks in advance, Tony

Trade marks matter if your selling same class of goods etc. There better left alone not sure if you would win a DRS..?( the Disclaimer “salt” makes it more challenging…) Unless there interested in launching in the UK and even if they were taking the possible Tm issues into account I'd say it’s pretty worthless..?

I've actually been talking to BaconSalt.com since October 2007, and I let
them know on the 30th January 2008, that I own BaconSalt.co.uk. They
never once questioned my ownership of the domain. In fact, I registered
the domain as I wanted to distribute their products in the UK. Obviously,
I have emails that prove all of this. Does that change anything?

not really, as in the end they could turn around and be like, actually we want the domain name, and pretty much could get nominet to give it to them.

If your in email talks and they are happy tho thats better but that doesnt affect value as no buyer is really going to buy it

The dilemma you face is that the domain only has value in relation to the trademarked goods / services, but technically you can't use it for that. Just hope that they want to buy it off you.

I would take it off Sedo because the ads appearing mean you are profiting and therefore abusing their trademark. Just put up a simple holding page with a means to contact you IMO and then keep hoping. If you contact them and offer it for sale it can count against you in a Nominet DRS.
