    What would be the fallout/opportunities?

How many people would be going after the auctions and much would super premium domains like beds.uk end up selling for?

what about less premium names that would still be seen as pretty special in today's market such as computeradvice.uk?

How do you see the potential gold rush playing out?

    A lawyers banquet.
Too much money has been invested for it to be otherwise.
The main winners would be big domain investors and trademark lawyers who have the time and money to play to their own strengths and advantage.
Wannabe 's who think they will benefit are deluding themselves.

No gold rush, except for Nominet. Auction values (for premium words) will be end user prices or above (e.g. short domain auctions) and outside the reach of most Acorn members. It's not going to be like the old days of FCFS reg. at £xx and flip for £xx,xxx.

In my opinion given just how many domains will be coming available at the same time there will be good quality stuff that falls through the cracks for a domainer willing to put the time in.

That's a bit like saying if we had a North Korean government in the uk we might be able to get a job in the army and we would be alright.

Last month I made more money from a developed site than I have from domaining since I started.

I'll only be interested if google is, maybe take a punt on a semi-decent name (bid upto £5k or so)
