    Anyone got one?
I have an HTC Desire and time for a new contract.

    Big screen looks very appealing.

No, but I do have a Samsung S3 and am really happy with it. I worried beforehand that the screen would be too big, but it's ideal. The best phone I've ever bought.

stick with the desire, go to sim only, and get yourself a tablet with the money you save.

Galaxy Note 2 is the best phone I ever owned. Went to it from the S3 and can't wait for the Note 3 now.

I bought the Note when it came out, the first one. Its been great for me, but I paid £600 at the time (although a customer actually bought it for me). Two weeks ago my friend Frank went to buy the Note 2, but I managed to talk him into buying the Note 1, as there isn't much difference and the first one is only £300 now.

Its a great device though, I use it a lot although I don't find myself using the pen, but that's just me. I'd just like to add, its a godsend on the plane. I dragged 6 movies to the SD card and it really helped my journeys pass quicker.

I've only read good things about the note / note2 try and have a hands on with it as they are to big for some people.
One other thing the s4 is going to be launched tomorrow with release soon after so I'd wait and take a look at that. If some of the rumors are true will have some cool features

I have used the Note 2 since launch lovely screen great for browsing and watching the odd movie on, the battery does well depending on what you are doing. It's a big phone but you get used to it and it goes in the pocket fine.

Agree with this 100%, I'd always get the latest greatest if it's on a contract as you can usually get to pick any phone.

I'd wait and get either the S4 or the HTC One..

The GS4 would certainly be the ultimate - IF you don't want the stylus. I use the stylus every day and it's brought back an enjoyment of the art of handwriting for me which I had long since forgotten in this day and age.

While Samsung have an excellent reputation for supporting their older models, I personally can't see the S3 getting a screen update. The other stuff is feasible as it's accessory oriented and gives Samsung more potential revenue from those that won't be going the S3 > S4 route.

You might well be right. I guess we'll see what improvements that are going to be made soon. I have to say, as an S3 owner, I'm perfectly happy with the screen as it is. There are some pretty decent contracts out there for the S3. I'm paying £20.50 for 24 months. Not many minutes, but I'm not mr chatty :).

Just watched the live unveiling. It was torcher. A presentation right out of an American sit com. The only thing missing was the canned laughter. (maybe there is an app for that?)

I dont need a phone that takes 100 photos in 4 seconds. Who does? Surely if you are needing to take that many you would be better videoing

Galaxy Note II for me. Bigger screen and a stylus.
