    Does anyone use datafeedr?

I am trying to find an automated product feed that updates prices and removes items that are no longer available.

Also, when I download csv files there are generally all lumped into the same category and has such, when added to Wordpress, they stay in that category.

Is there anyway, other than ask the merchant to change the feed (which they are looking into) - to seperate the feed into different categories based on a key word search?

I tried it a while back it was quite good but didn't have a price comparison feature at the time. Wasn't overly keen on-going monthly fees either.

For me the best off the shelf solution to manage feeds has been PriceTapestry bit of a steep learning curve but things are better with the wordpress plugin.

I've started using keyword searches to make up for dodgy feed categories myself.

My themes not the most stylish yet but you can get an idea of how this can work category wise at gifts for mum

Thats not a bad looking site. Price Tapestry is mentioned a lot on the A4U forum and I will take a look, thanks.

I wanted to use DataFeedr as there is the plugin all set up and waiting to go in one of my Shopper Press themes but with 10'000 items across possibly 50 or 60 drilled down categories, I think I am biting off more than I can chew.

Perhaps I simply need to limit the amount of products, over a wider category base.:(

I have used it in the past with good results but having sold off my sites that used the script I have since stopped my subscription - yeah the monthly subscription is really annoying

Only thing I don't like about it is having 2 interfaces one for the plugin and one for the feed management.

hmmm I have a few spare domains might see what's new with DR
