Nominet emailed me on July 16th asking me to confirm my bacs details for a refund of the deposited RoR uk money, I replied the same day I had no refund or mention of it by 8th August so I emailed on the 9th to ask what was happening and I was told they hadn't received my email They said "would you like to pay your invoices before we refund you?" I said I thought the point of depositing the money was to use for registrations and the invoices They asked me to email again confirming they could use the money for the invoices and refund the rest.. I did that, they emailed yesterday saying the refund was done and should be with me today Today I get an email from Nominet saying my tag has been blocked for not paying invoices.. still not received my refund either Beyond a joke Edit> I emailed them, but I just called as well because I couldn't be bothered to wait, they said my tag isn't blocked, that was an automated email that shouldn't have been sent
Yeah, they've not handled it very well. I deposited the funds from a personal account and really wanted it back as the same lump that I put in, but Nominet went and allocated some of it to pay *some* of my invoices. They collected payment from my stored card details for a few other invoices...
My experience was far better, Nominet refunded my credit card payment in full on 9th July following my request to do so on the 8th.
They also payed all my invoices for me even after having auto allocation off....once i had rung they allocated it back to my card and was available the next day.
