    For multiple sites:
Important ones, Kinsta which isn't cheap but there is a reason for this.
Less important, development etc, Siteground has proven to be (for me) the most reliable cheap host with knowledgeable support and some nifty optimisation add ons. It is cheap for a reason though so expect the odd outage and less than instant response to tickets.

Many cheap alternatives are simply a lottery where 9 people out of 10 will tell you they have never had a problem etc. A fair chance you won't either but do you want the risk?

It's 20+ websites (2 of which are multisites with 100 subsites each) so Kinsta is out of budget I'm afraid

Siteground: what's are website speeds like?

With TSO Host, they can't even do something basic like auto renew a LE SSL - breaking my sites every months

Just for balance, 20i gave me 12 months free hosting after one mess up. The next one was too much to bear.

Hope this isn't taken the wrong way?

I think this is the problem with a lot of hosts, it can be the luck of the draw who you get to deal with. I had a few experiences with 20i where I'd say the support was pretty good but, unfortunately for me, I also had one that was completely incompetent and another who didn't understand the problem and reacted with total indifference. To be fair to 20i though, you could get this at a lot of other places too.

20i...faultless, good support and really innovative product offering that is increased relentlessly. Anyone who is using them should see the raft of new speed/ caching options, immense. Will remove the need for a lot of WP plugins.

Personally whenever I have had to work with customers using 20i often seem to have to educate their support on basics, and their platform seems to have some odd restrictions which can cause complications with some web apps.

Restrictions? Web apps? I find this hard to believe...I manage 100 sites on there and have no restrictions

It's been a while, iirc had some odd issues with binaries not matching up between cron & web servers, causing slight inconsistencies between how code was run. It may have been improved now, it's been a while since had to use it. :)

Lol, that’s a very niche thing to be concerned about. Most people wouldn’t even concern themselves with cron.

That doesn't mean it shouldn't be highlighted as a consideration.
The OP may have a need for CRON to automate daily tasks such as scraping pages for price updates, etc.

Sometimes it's best to recognise and acknowledge a reported potential issue and accept it as a valid concern, whether you feel it's niche in comparison to your own personal projects or not.

For the record, we use cron jobs for some sites on 20i hosting, no issues at all.

I'm currently leaving TSO after they acquired my previous host, its been poop show. None stop issues, they have been been disabling features I paid for because they use a magical cpanel which doesn't support it (even tho 2 other other hosts have the features).

I'm moving to Jolt.co.uk where my drop database lives, no problems at all with 2 accounts there. They can also be negotiated with to adjust your specs too, like I just add unlimited alias added to a £14 hosting account for my parking system.

A 20 Addon Shared account is £40 a year, with Discount Code "Acorn" which is a persistent 20% off, yearly.

They also have an affilate program too http://www.jolt.co.uk/?ref=stevemorley (Admin maybe wanna sign up and regex these ;)) which has a decent payout.

The site I'm moving (manually but they do have auto moving systems) is http://dreads.uk which will be steven.co.uk once updated and fixed.

Edit: dreads just to see speed, adsense slows it down as not setup on this domain.
